WAR BETWEEN A PANDEMIC?
I think the world is definitely adapting to this COVID thing, so much so that there is already time for war between countries.
For me it was a surprise to read about the revival of the Upper Karabakh war , between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
It is difficult after being confined to protect lives to see how human beings can be the opposite and end up with mostly innocent lives. Official balances spoke of at least 242 deaths from the fighting: 209 separatist soldiers, 14 Armenian civilians and 19 Azerbaijanis, although the Baku authorities have not yet reported military losses.
With the United Nations Security Council's calls this week for a cessation of hostilities, the future in Nagorno-Karabakh is still uncertain. (EL TIEMPO, 2020)
It also questions me why it is difficult for me to believe in international organisations like the UN, which with resolutions and communiqués demand peace, that in my view something influenced by realism is useless. because the conflict is still going on and has been active for many years.
I believe that in order to meet the Sustainable development goals of 2030, substantial reform is needed in the way armed conflicts are resolved in the world.
The tendency is to sign and make agreements when in fact the conflict has not been solved, and Colombia is an example of this.
People 2020 is being a little bit weird.

Incredible, we are not only living a war with this virus, but also with ourselves rediscovering ourselves in confinement. And now this! How sad to see that humanity does not learn... Of course, if you can call that "humanity".
